Any company that finds itself facing a difficult future should look to follow the example set by Goettl Air Conditioning owner Ken Goodrich in returning their brand to success. Goodrich has fought long and hard since his purchase of the Goettl brand in 2012 to bring a sustained period of success to the company, which began with the departure of a number of executives and top level management from the company.
Upon arriving at Goettl the new owner was shocked to discover just how dysfunctional the company had become, but quickly set about changing the entire culture with a hands on approach that would take all his time to master. Goodrich decided the most important area he had to concern himself with was that of quality and rebuilding the reputation of the company; no matter how long a technician had been with the Goettl Air Conditioning brand he or she would have to complete a task to the standard set by Ken Goodrich, which would ensure a happy customer each and every time a task was undertaken for a customer.
Ken Goodrich has also looked to keep the people of Arizona and Nevada happy with the major investment he has made in the area, which includes a decision to invest in creating an HVAC center of excellence at the College of Southern Nevada. The college has seen a lab sponsored by Ken Goodrich, and a number of grants and scholarships created in the name of the Goettl brand.
A major part of the turnaround of the Goettl brand was the renaming of the company as the Goettl Good Guys Air Conditioning Repairmen, a name change forced upon the company by the Better Business Bureau; Ken Goodrich now sees this name change as a mistake he hopes to rectify in the coming months as the Goettl brand looks to continue from strength to strength.
